Let’s be honest, unless if you’re an athlete or are naturally inclined to enjoy exercise, winter exercise can be a challenge. For many people, the temptation to just snuggle up in bed and enjoy comfort foods is at an all-time-high in winter. Nevertheless, our bodies still need to be physically active to remain healthy. Here are some tips to get your winter exercise motivation fired-up.
1. Get everyone involved
If you’re still working from home and have your family at home too, you might as well use it to your advantage. Set a step challenge and reward the person who walked the most steps with a break from their chores.
2. Challenge your friends
Staying in touch with friends and loved ones is not as it used to be before lockdown. You may not always be able to have all your friends available at the same time for a video call, but that doesn’t mean you should give up. Use your common goal of staying healthy to keep you connected. Challenge each other and see who can get the most Active Dayz™, or who can achieve the most steps in a month. Log them at the end of the month and agree on a prize to contribute towards.
3. Set a goal
Set a goal to achieve by spring, like having more toned muscles for your favourite summer clothes. It can be challenging to work hard and focus with no goal in mind.
